About the Greater Richburg Association
Richburg - Gateway to Chester County, South Carolina
The Greater Richburg Association was established in 1991 by a group of concerned citizens. The
major focus is orderly growth and beautification of our area to attract residential, small business, and industrial development.
The mission of the Greater Richburg Association is to promote the economic, environmental, and
social well-being of the five-mile radius surrounding Exit 65. By unifying our efforts, we are able to accomplish much more than going in separate directions. By promoting the advantages of the Richburg area, new business and industry can be attained.
We produce an Exit 65 brochure that is at all of the South Carolina Welcome Centers, listing the motels, restaurants, points of interest, businesses, gas/convenience, outlet shopping, etc. in the greaterRichburg area.

Beautification of individual properties, as well as common properties, is also of prime importance to create a favorable impression and encourage repeat business. The Landscaping and Beautification Project surrounding Exit 65 has been completed with new trees and perennials that will make the area much more inviting to travelers.
Presently, the Greater Richburg Association is deeply involved in a Solar Lighting Project to add pedestrian cross walks and solar lighting to this area.
A plan for development also will assist orderly and profitable growth. Promotional literature and an active website can serve all who visit, work or live in the area.
The Greater Richburg Association also serves as a focal point for fellowship among businesses and others and can be used as a vehicle to provide a unified front in securing assistance from government and other agencies.
The Greater Richburg Association meetings are held monthly at 5:30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, except December, at the Richburg Town Hall, 201 North Main Street, Richburg, SC 29729.
Here are
Directions.
Some of the Richburg Town Councilmembers, along with some of the Chester County Councilmembers, serve as ex-officio members and are present at each meeting.
An annual meeting, with the election of officers, is held each January.
The Greater Richburg Association is a great resource for assisting community members with their projects and needs. It allows a member the opportunity to volunteer for one of many worthwhile committees if they have the time and the desire to do so. It also provides numerous networking, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities through the meetings, our web site and the Exit 65 brochure.
Being a member of the Greater Richburg Association provides an opportunity to make a positive difference where you visit, work, or live.
